How To Survive A Cheating Spouse
TheLoudestVoice | February 5, 2010You can feel cheated and betrayed when your spouse starts cheating on you. This doesn’t mean that you should greet them with violence and learn how to survive life after them. This means that you should know how to emotionally move on after you know that you’ve been hurt in this manner. So it’s important to know how to survive a cheating spouse.
The first important thing you need to know is that you are not alone. The second and equally important idea to grasp is that this is not all about you! Infidelity in a marriage has as many causes as there are married people, though there are a great many common problems. Inevitably, it seems, the basic flaws are with attitude and communication.
To begin with ask yourself why did he do it or why is he doing this to you? May be something happened in the past or between the two of you and he reacted this way. They may be guilty of doing the undoable, but unless you get to the bottom of the problem, its no good.
You may not be able to “sit down and talk about it” with your spouse, and it may not even be a good idea to do so. Depending on how far things have gone - in this case the affair and the underlying causes of it - a clean and final break may be the best way for you to deal with the situation. This does not mean parting in bitterness or hostility; it means accepting the facts and moving on. I hope you’re learning how to survive a cheating spouse.
Your trust has been betrayed and you must now learn to move on. This can help you grow. Blaming absolutely everything on the cheater may not be the right thing because it will always give you an excuse to blame someone else. Dealing with this tragedy and learning to move on can help you to address your own faults which may have contributed to the affair. This will usually deal with communication issues. Working through these can make you stronger as a person.
You should workout your own way which will make you happy. Finally you have to make a family with him for your life, so you have to make your mind what actually will make you happy and set things right. You should think like an individual person and not as a couple. Once you are independent, you can successfully survive a cheating spouse! That’s how you survive a cheating spouse.
