Lovely Mother’s Day Flowers - it’s cheaper to order online
TheLoudestVoice | April 10, 2009Moms are amazing people. They selflessly look after their kids ensuring that there are at all times clean clothes to be dressed in, a delicious breakfast to eat, and plenty of love all around. They over and over again put their loved ones ahead of themselves often expecting only a smile or a quick hug as a reward. That is why celebrations honoring moms have been held since the times of the ancient Greeks, and perhaps even before. The first official Mother’s Day in the United States was on May 9, 1914 when President W. Wilson announced the second Sunday in May to be National Mothers Day, a day when mums across the country would be recognized for all they do.
Flower arrangements have always been a traditional gift to give to mothers on Mother’s Day. While almost every mom loves to get a bouquet of flowers or arrangement of her favored flowers, there are a lot of other ways you may include Mother’s day flowers into that special testimony of your love. And, it does not matter what your age is or if you’re helping your own young children celebrate mum, you can use flower gifts to make this Mothers Day one she will always remember. Here are some great ideas for younger children and for grown up children:
If you are planning to celebrate Mothers Day with eating out, take some silverware and a soup bowl to your favorite florist. Have the florist form a flower design in the bowl using the silverware as to the arrangement. Put an invitation to the restaurant along with the flowers. For a public declaration of your love, take your mum out to a restaurant and set up to have floral decoration delivered to the table.
Let your mom know she need to relax today. Gift wrap an interesting book and tell your local florist to include it with a flower arrangement and a reminder suggesting her to spend her day relaxing.
Send your mother a Mothers Day tree or plant. Take photographs mounted on decorative paper or in small frames to your local florist and ask her to tie them to a plan or small tree using colorful ribbons.
Give your mother a nice dress to wear on this special. She’ll especially enjoy this if she is planning to attend a public event where everybody can see the gift you’ve given her.
Invite Mom to a movie theatre. Take the movie page from a local newspaper to your florist and ask him to put it in a box of beautiful flowers. Decorate the outside of the box with candy wrappers. Incorporate a card letting Mother know she will pick the movie and you will buy the treats and tickets.
Send Mum on a flower treasure hunt. Purchase few single stems of beautiful flowers. Have your local florist place a flower tube on each one. Hide the flowers around the home and give Mum clues to lead her to each one. Make the very last find a vase to put all the flowers in and a message letting her know what a great treasure she is.
Breakfast in bed is a charming Mother’s Day custom. Place a pretty vase of her favorite flowers on the tray.
Whether her children are grown or still young, every mum deserves a special Mothers Day. Your local florist will be glad to help you express your love and respect in almost any interesting way you may think of. She might even be able to offer some great ideas of their own!
