Is the web industry taking a hit from the credit crunch?
Vinny | October 13, 2008I have just graduated from University of Bristol in BA Digital Design and am looking for some sort of web related work. It has almost been four months now and I still havnt had any luck with getting any work. My parents keep telling me that the credit crunch is to blame for this deprivation in recruitment but I struggle to agree that it is. As I originally come from Brighton I want to try and get a web design job somewhere around where I live. My methods may of been crude but all I typed in google to search for jobs was ‘web design brighton‘. I sift through the various companies and try and pick out ones with job vacancies. Much to my amazement many of the companies have vacancies which is positive. Although when I mail them I never hear any reply! is this because I have little experience within the industry or because the credit crunch is making companies think twice about employing people? HELP!
A local web developer in Sheboygan US is trying to sue the city for over $250,000 in damages after the designer was forced to remove an internal link to the city’s site.
